The Music Video Party returns to Cat Club on Sunday, July 6th, with a tribute to the biggest French House and Nu Disco artists. Music Video DJs will be spinning the music of Daft Punk, Justice, Chromeo, Purple Disco Machine, Kavinsky, Disclosure, Basement Jaxx, Le Youth, Duck Sauce, Breakbot, Roosevelt, and so so many more.

Best of all, this party is only five bucks!!!

We are also teaming up with UNPLUG! to transform Cat Club into a giant game room. We will have 5 TVs set up with various retro gaming systems, as well as a stack of classic board games, cornhole, and a giant connect four board. So you can either play in our lounge and watch the music videos like an old school house party, or rage it on the dance floor to our veteran DJs.

We are more disconnected from each other than ever before. We're glued to screens all day, and are interacting with each other less and less in the real world. We date through apps, take taxis without drivers, shop online (or use self checkout when going to a physical store), get takeout/groceries/weed etc delivered, take online classes, have zoom meetings, work remotely, play video games with people online, communicate via social media and text, watch DJs livestream, have ai create our art, and so many other things that are depriving us of much needed community and human interaction. There is an epidemic of loneliness, depression, anxiety, addiction, self harm, and suicide as a result. I wanted to create a space where we can unplug from all of the noise, and reconnect with each other. A place where anyone can feel comfortable being who they are without judgement, chat with a stranger in a welcoming environment, and be goofy and childish without the urge to pull your phone out every few minutes for a dopamine hit, or merely just dance and fight brain rot for a few hours. Let's get weird and step out of our comfort zones.
