New Wave City
The First & Foremost 80s Dance Party Presents...
“The Cure Night”

The Cure were formed in 1976 by Robert Smith and Lol Tolhurst in the town of Crawley, West Sussex, England. They released their debut single "Killing an Arab" in December 1978, generating both acclaim and controversy (the song is based on the novel The Stranger by French author Albert Camus). The band had a strong influence on the emerging genre of goth, but have also been associated with new wave, alternative, pop, and post-punk over the years.
